Every oarfish is an act of unfathomable grace.

Though nobody knew it at the time, the World Oarfish Council first met in 1994 and set the stage for a strong foundation in leadership. Since then, we’ve gone through many forms with one fish in mind: to bring attention to the world’s most important animal.

Through it all, our values have made our organization stand strong: curiosity, empiricism, ambition, and education.
